Red Mountain - We were impressed with Brian the first time we met him....at Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix. He was introduced to us by some mutual friends who had commissioned him to do a painting for their Scottsdale home. When we saw the piece he had done for them we fell in love with his work! He happened to be in AZ last February and called to see if he could see our subject, as we had expressed an interest in him doing a commissioned piece for us. Long story short...he just recently finished our Red Mountain painting and we can't be more excited to get it framed and hung in our Mesa home! Brian is super talented and easy to work with. He totally captures the right colors and shadows to create a controlled abstract of the scene. We are so pleased to have had this experience with him. We highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting something special to hang in their home.

I frequent Downtown Lawrence once or twice a week, so I'm always glad to have a new place on Mass Street to visit. One of the things I like about Timmer Gallery is that this is also a working studio. The artist is often working on a piece and he's fine if you pull up a chair, watch, and chat a bit. There is a good deal of variety in the gallery--familiar local landscapes and cityscapes as well as scenes from out of state. There are also abstract paintings and 3-dimensional pieces. If you're not looking for an original piece of art, you can find paper prints and canvas prints as well. The gallery/studio is basically underneath the Phoenix Gallery, so you have to go downstairs and look around for it, but it's well worth it.

"The Armstrong Farm" - To plan my painting, Brian came up to my farm with his drone. We decided on just the right altitude and view for the perfect shot.   He then went to work with his oil paint and created something I will admire with friends and neighbors for a long time.
